Wine Tour Thru Gibbson Valley

We get up bright and early and make our way downtown Queenstown where we are picked up for our wine tour. We are only 12 people and Do our guide. During the next six hours we are visiting four vineyards where we get to sample local white and red wines, mostly Pinot Grigios and Pinot Noirs and a few Roses.

Gibbson Vinyard was started in the 1980s by an Irish man. Over the next few decades he built a very successful winery.

Both Peter and I we were not convinced of any of the 15 different wines we get to sample in the different wineries. But we had a lot of fun with the people on our tour. Our last wine sampling takes place in a church!

Once we get back to Queenstown, we go for a nice piece of meat. I had a ribeye and Peter enjoyed a rack of ribs.

When we get back to campground, we hang out with a Swiss family and play some kanasta.
