Outside of Te Anau to Milford Sound to Cascade Creek Campground

We wake up to a chilly 4 degrees Celsius. I turn on the heat and go back under the warm blankets until it is a little warmer.

We have breakfast and drive to Te Anau where we make reservations for a tour to go see glow worms in a cave on Friday morning.

Afterwards we drive leisurely down to the Milford Sound. The scenery along the way is spectacular. At the stop of Mirror Lake we take some great photos.

There are many stops along the way which are worthwhile to explore.

We finally get to the Milford Sound just in time for or boat tour. Again the boat tour was amazing and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We are so lucky with the weather.

It rains 200 days a year in the Milford Sound and we got a day with sunshine. All in all a perfect day.

Now we are sitting in our camper at the Cascade Creek Campground and are enjoying a glass of wine and Peter is cooking chicken with rice and salad.

I get up one more time at 22:30 to go do some stargazing. Since there are no towns anywhere close by, it is perfect spot for stargazing. It was spectacular. I am not sure what exactly I saw, but the sky was covered with stars. I wish I had a good telescope and camera with me.
