Kaka Point to Nugget Lighthouse to Jack's Blowhole to Curio Bay

Today is the first time that we wake up to rain. We stay under the warm cozy blankets until past 9 am. After breakfast and two cups of coffee we are ready to go.

Our first stop is the cute Nugget Lighthouse which is well worth the hike and on top of it the rain stopped and we see some blue sky.

Jack's Blowhole is our next stop. After a few miles over gravel roads, we hike to the blowhole. We can hear and also see the water crashing in the hole.

The hike to the Purakaunui Falls leads thru a beautiful rainforest.

The Caitlins is a beautiful region in the southeast of New Zealand with its rainforest, waterfalls, beaches and rolling hills with sheep.

Unfortunately, the caves were closed caused by storm damage.

We stay overnight in Curio Bay.
