New Plymouth to Three Sisters

After a leisure breakfast we drive along the coast to the Three Sisters. We did not know that you can only visit the Three Sisters at low tide. When get there, the tide is coming in. The next opportunity to visit the Three Sisters is only tonight between 5:52 pm and 9:52 pm, two hours before low tide until two hours after low tide.

We decide to stay on the big freedom campground around the corner and make a lazy afternoon.

At 6 pm we get dressed and start walking down the beach only to find out that we have to take off shoes and and socks and wade thru knee deep water. But it is so worth it.

You can actually see Mt. Taranaki between two of the rocks.
