Carterdon to Stonehenge

Today is the Autumn Equinox, when for two moments in the year the sun is exactly above the equator and day and night are of equal length.

A university professor had a stonehedge built over the course of two years in total alignment with the stars. We are able to observe the sunset in total alignment of stone hedge.

Before we go the stonehedge he tells how important the stars have been to the people that lived thousands of years ago. If they did not plant the seedlings after the Spring Equinox there would nothing to be harvested around the Autumn Equinox. It is unimaginable to think how life would be without phone, tvs, google map, internet, cars houses, etc. I want everyone who reads this blog to think how life would be without any of these. 🤪🤪🤪
