Today we leave Queenstown and head towards Wanaka, another cute town on a lake. But first we make a stop in Arrowtown, an old gold mining town. Today it is very touristy and artsy.
After an excellent cup of coffee and an almond croissant we are on our way over the Lindis Pass. This road truly reminds us of one of the mountain passes in Switzerland with all its hair pin curves.
Half way down on the other side, we find another cute town, Cardrona, which was established in a1863.
We continue to Wānaka which is a nice town surrounded by mountains, almost like Queenstown but much more quiet. However, before we reach Wanaka we find this fence full of bras. Amazing what kind of ideas people come up with.
In Wanaka we hike along the lake for a couple of hours.
