Caloundra to Tambourine Mountains to Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast 

We wake up to an overcast windy morning. It is finally no longer hot and humid (at least for the time being). We just take our time and enjoy the cooler temperatures.

We make a second and successful attempt to visit the Glasshouse Mountains. The view up there is stunning. 

We continue our way inland and follow the Tambourine Mountains Scenic Drive. First we are a bit disappointed. However, as soon as we start to climb, the grassland changes to rainforest.

We stop half way up the mountain and do the skywalk above the rainforest. It is simply amazing to observe the different levels of the rainforest. And the noise of the secadas. 

We take a short walk on top of the mountain in the Tambourine Mountain village before we descend to Burleigh Heads where we find a campground close to the beach.

After dinner we go the beach where we can observe the many surfers taking advantage of the huge waves until nightfall.
