Landsborough to Irwin Zoo to Glasshouse Mountain to Caloundra

We wake up to a rainy morning and it does not look like it will get better any time soon. We decide to visit the famous zoo created by Steve Irwin.

First we visit the exotic bird enclosure and then we go to the reptile house. I am very happy to see all these poisonous creatures behind thick glass.

We continue to the kangaroos and the koalas. It starts to rain really hard and we spend a while with them. We are actually allowed to pet one of the koalas.

We stop at the cafe for some refreshments. And now it really starts to pour. We wait in the cafe until they feed the crocodiles.

The crocodiles are quite agile when they "pursue" something in the water.

We are trying to go to the Glasshouse Mountain lookout but the road is flooded and we do not have a four wheel drive!!! We are going to try again tomorrow morning.

We drive back to wards the ocean where we find a nice campground. It is laundry time!!
