Rockhampton to Seventeen Seventy

We are going to visit an old mining town, Mount Morgan, where they used to dig for gold, opal and copper in the late 1800's and early 1900.'s. They had to build a cograil up a fairly steep mountain and had to use the same system like the steep mountain railways in Switzerland.

We continue our trip to Seventeen Seventy where James Cook supposedly stopped in 1770 in the bay here at Seventeen Seventy.

We were tired and decided to stay in 1770. The campground was fairly new but nothing special.

We were reading and went to bed early as it was raining. And remember it is dark at 7:30 pm!!!
