Mackay to Yeppoon to Emu Park to Rockhamptonn

The cyclone has not yet made landfall. The prediction is now that it could be anywhere between Townsville and south of Mackay. That means we still are in its path. We decide to continue our drive south to Rockhampton since we saw many signs advising that the coastal road is prone to flooding and we did not want to get stuck in an area with flooded roads.

The drive from Mackay to Rockhampton was long and very boring. Once in Rockhampton we visit the botanical garden and the zoo.

Afterwards we drive the scenic route to Veppone and along the coast to Emu Park.

We stop in Emu Park and visit the singing ship of James Cook. When the wind hits the sails it creates some sounds.
