Lake Tepako
We wake up to thick fog. We cannot even see the lake from our campsite. After breakfast the weather is clearing up slowly and we decide to hike along the lake.
The wild lupines are just about to start blooming.
When we leave around 10 am the campsites around us are empty. When we return at 3pm it is almost full again as you can see on the picture.
We spend the next three hours in the Tepako hot springs. In between I enjoy a stone massage
by an Italian girl who is working here in New Zealand on a five-year work visa.
The white cloud between the two mountains is fog. Last evening and now again we are observing how it slowly creeps down the mountains and in a few hours, big thick fog is engulfing everything.
