Port Campbell to Ararat to Grampians National Park to Avoca to Ballarat

Today we leave the touristy coast and head back inland.

Within minutes we are alone on the road and only every once in a while do we see a camper or caravan. The landscape is very very dry and we feel sorry for the cows and the sheep. There is no green grasses anywhere.

When we get to Ararat we stop at the tourist information to find out what highlights we should visit in the Grampians NP. To our big surprise we are told that the road to the Grampians National Park is closed. There was a big fire and about 50 houses burnt down. We change our plans and decide to visit another winery.

This time we are lucky. We buy a chilled Moscato which we are enjoying right now with some crackers.
