90 Mile Beach to Ahipara to Hokianga Vehicle Ferry to Rawene to Kauri Forest

We want to try to climb the Ahipara Sand Dunes, but we cannot get to them because of the tide. One has to walk 40 minutes along the shore when it is low tide. Again we did not know that and arrive when the tide is coming in. 😒😒

We continue our way cross country to the west coast. At one point we have to take a ferry and the gentleman charges me exactly $4.22. He did not like his computer..,..

We continue our way to the oldest Kauri tree which they estimate to be over 2,000 years old.

We hike thru the forest to second largest

tree which seems to be even bigger than the oldest.
