Wellsford to Tutukaka

We make a long walk on the Whangarei Heads Beach. The ocean is not cold at all. If only the air would be warmer and no wind. I find a few beautiful shells.

We stop in Piu Cove and have another Egg Benedict. There is nothing to rave about this one. This is our least favorite so far.

We follow the Twin Discovery Trail but make a lot of little detours towards the in ocean. The North of the North Island of New Zealand has a lot of stunning beaches.

We are very surprised to see that there are still a lot of campervans on the road. I thought that the traveling season is slowing down. I did not have that impression.

In one of our wrong turns we end up in front of the harbor where where all of these trees are being collected and then shipped all over the world.
