Waihi Beach to Karangahake Gorge to Waihi Beach

We hike in the historic Karangahake Gorge which used to be an old gold mining town. Part of the hike leads thru the old tunnel.

We spend the afternoon at Waihi Beach reading a book. I am talking to a grandmother which turns out to be a Swiss lady from Bssel who immigrated to New Zealand in 1980.
