Auckland.

It is cloudy and it will rain later in the day and be very, very windy.

We are camping in a suburb of Auckland with great bus connections to and from the city. We are downtown early and we follow the „city walk“ of the Lonely Planet guide.

Once the rain starts we switch to the Hop on and Hop off bus. We stay dry and learn a lot of things.

Did you know that New Zealand has 5 sheep for every New Zealander. In 2022 there were 5,124,000 people in New Zealand. That means there are 26,620,000 sheep in New Zealand. Probably more today.

The storm and especially the wind are so bad that you have to hold on. We have a glass of wine in a small French bistro in a side street of Queen Street before we head home.
